The Associated Press lists current tariff reporting affecting Canadian goods. The World Bank describes SME finance as an ecosystem shaped by policy, institutions, digital infrastructure, and lender capacity. AACSB argues that students need independent reasoning before intensive AI use. Inside Higher Ed lists a conditional tuition-freeze announcement. It shows that an affordability promise depends on timing and conditions.
These examples do not prove firm-level tariff effects, local finance outcomes, causal effects of the AACSB proposal, or implementation of the tuition policy. They support a narrower practice: expose the condition behind a promise before treating it as usable evidence. Farnam Street’s Surprises adds a useful question.
